Every family phone shows the same signal, right now.

See how TavKey works

Under a minute on how one shared signal helps your family shut down a scam call.

Is that really your family member calling?

Scammers and AI voices are getting harder to tell apart from real family. They sound urgent. They know your name. They push you to act fast.

TavKey is a free app for iPhone and Android that gives your family a shared private signal - a color, an animal, and a number - that rotates every minute. Only the phones you've personally added can see it. One question is all it takes.

How it works

1

Create your family

Download TavKey and give your family a name. Your phone becomes the first trusted device.

2

Add family in person

Visit your family. Hold your phones close together and TavKey pairs them securely using Bluetooth - no long codes, no camera scanning.

3

Verify any caller

When a call feels off, open the app and ask what it shows right now. Real family members will always know. Scammers never will.

Common questions

How does TavKey work?
TavKey shows a private signal that only your trusted family phones can see. When someone calls and you are not sure it is really them, ask them what TavKey shows right now.
Do I need to be together to add someone?
Yes. To add a trusted phone, you and the other person need to be together in person. Being together helps you make sure you're adding the right person, prevents mistakes, and keeps your family circle private. Plus, visiting your parents or grandparents once in a while is usually a good idea anyway.
What does the signal look like?
The signal is a simple combination, such as a color, image, or number. It changes regularly, and all trusted family phones show the same signal at the same time.
When should I use it?
Use TavKey when a call feels suspicious, urgent, or unusual - especially if someone asks for money, passwords, login codes, or personal information.
Is my family data private?
Yes. TavKey is designed to store as little information as possible. Your private family signal is shared only with trusted phones you explicitly add.
Do I need internet to check the TavKey?
No. Once your phone has joined the family, it can show the current TavKey using the private setup secret and your device clock.
How do I add a trusted phone?
Add a trusted phone while you are together. TavKey guides both phones through a short verification step so you know you are adding the right device.
Can TavKey guarantee a call is safe?
No app can guarantee that. TavKey helps you check whether the caller has access to your family's private signal. If you are still unsure, hang up and call back using a number you already trust.
